Purpose: The Teacher creates a positive learning environment to facilitate students' personal, social-emotional, and intellectual development and growth. To respond to students' individual needs and abilities, the Teacher will work closely with the building administration and support staff. 

 

Reports To: Building Principal

 

FLSA Status: Exempt

 

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education
  2. Valid Kansas Teaching License 
  3. Health and Innoculation Certificate on file in the District Office (after an employment offer is made)

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master's Degree in the field of education
  2. Three-plus years of certified teaching experience
  3. Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
  4. Ability to foster a positive learning environment

  1. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time

  4. Ability to speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal classrooms, outdoors and on the telephone
  5. Physical agility to lift up to 25 pounds to shoulder height and 50 pounds to waist height
  6. Ability to bend, stoop, sit on the floor, climb stairs, walk and reach overhead

Terms of Employment: A 187-day contract under the Negotiated Agreement (finished for the remainder of the 2025/26 school year, with the potential to continue to next school year).
