Position Purpose: Tier-1Technology Coordinator provides first-line technical support consists of aiding staff with related questions, basic technology use, and maintenance.  Provide guidance and support for computer-based resources and applications for curricular use.  

 

Reports To: Director of Technology Services

 

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt-Hourly 


Salary: $13.00 per hour

 

Qualifications

  • Health and Inoculation Certificate on file in the District Office (after an employment offer is made).
  • Bachelor Degree, IT Certification, or equivalent
  • High level of competence with software systems, and all applicable devices. Software system knowledge includes the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong, effective written and verbal communication skills with a high level of competency in writing, grammar, and sentence structure. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.  Candidate must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators and staff.

Travel: 

  • Up to 50% in district travel between buildings

Essential Functions: To execute this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

  • Service as the building staff’s first point of contact for all technology issues and concerns. 
  • Promote the use of technology as an instructional tool for learning, including the assessment of student achievement.
  • Perform problem-solving and diagnostics on equipment as required, utilizing the digital ticketing system.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on computers and updating of software where necessary.
  • Serve as a resource person to assist staff with the familiarization of technology and curricular resources.
  • Provide individual and small group instruction under the direction of the teacher, adhering to the lesson plan provided by the teacher.
  • Perform software evaluations as requested to ensure compliance with district operating environments.
  • Basic understanding of Windows and Mac operating system environments.
  • Display good public relations and customer support skills.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and work cooperatively with others.
  • Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
  • Ability to plan and organize, good work habits.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from administrators, teachers, school staff and parents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Administration.
  • Regular and routine attendance at work.

  • Required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend for extended periods of time. As well as the ability to reach overhead.

  • Requires stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and turning.
  • Must work in noisy and crowded environments, with numerous interruptions.
  • Ability to lift, pull, and/or push up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to enter data into a computer, to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids.
  • Ability to hear and understand speech at normal classroom levels, outdoors and on the telephone.
  • Ability to speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal classrooms, outdoors and on the telephone

Terms of Employment:   employment. 2,000-hour 12-month position.

 

Evaluation:   Performance evaluations in accordance with the Board’s policy and the Classified Employee Handbook.
